David Nuuhiwa III was born on July 23rd 1948 in Honolulu, Hawaii, the son of a Waikiki beachboy & martial arts instructor. He began surfing at age five.
David Nuuhiwa is widely known for his soulful noseriding. Often perched at the tip of his board for 20 seconds or more. Nuuhiwa's smooth & fluid style has earned him many championships.
Nuuhiwa was Michael Sarrazin's stunt double in The Sweet Ride, his surfing has been featured in Rainbow Bridge with Jimi Hendrix. Nuuhiwa later starred in Five Summer Stories and dozens more.
Nuuhiwa has respectfully retired from surfing & resides in Huntington Beach, CA signing autographs & making appearances.
